Put a calculator on your site
Pick a calculator, copy the code, paste it into your page. It’s free, it keeps itself up to date when rates change, and your residents get the same answer they would get here.
Paste this into your page
<iframe src="https://www.energycosting.co.uk/embed/energy-use-benchmark" title="Is my electricity use normal?" width="100%" height="1400" style="border:0;max-width:100%" loading="lazy" data-energycosting></iframe>

What your visitors get
- No analytics, no cookies, nothing saved in their browser.
- Nothing they type is stored or sold. The privacy is the same as on our own site: privacy policy.
- Current rates, updated here, without you touching anything.
- A link to the full method and sources behind every figure.
The terms, in full
- Free for anyone, commercial or not.
- Leave the Energycosting credit visible, and don’t cover or alter the results.
- Not on a page that collects leads, takes quote requests or sells installations. The point of these calculators is an answer nobody profits from.
- Calculators change as the data does. That’s the point, but it means figures can move between visits.
Want it under your own name, with your local schemes, or set up for the homes you manage? That’s the paid work. Get in touch.
For your web team
- A standard iframe. If your site sets a Content Security Policy, allow
https://www.energycosting.co.ukinframe-src, and inscript-srcif you use the resize script. - The resize script listens for one message, the calculator’s height, and only from our domain. It sets no cookies and makes no requests.
- Links inside the calculator open in a new tab, so your visitors never lose your page.
- Embeds are marked not to be indexed by search engines, so they won’t compete with your page or ours.
